Fatigued, Dizzy, Short Of Breath, Difficulty Sleeping? You’re Anemic. Try These 3 Juice Recipes To Boost Your Blood Count

If you are easily fatigued, get dizzy or short of breath easily, have difficulty sleeping, or get an unusually rapid heartbeat when exercising you may be showing symptoms of anemia, a disorder that affects those who don’t have enough red blood cells (hemoglobin) to carry oxygen throughout the body.

In an anemic condition, there is a lack of hemoglobin, the protein that gives the red color, but for the most part, anemia is caused by iron deficiency. 1 in 10 teenage girls suffer from anemia due to their monthly blood loss and not eating the right blood-building foods.

Poor dietary choices, heavy metal poisoning, prolonged medication, and menstruation can cause anemia. With a few changes to your diet, you can reintroduce iron into your system and get your red blood cells back up-to-speed.

The lack of oxygen in an anemic person leaves them fatigued, weak, and pale, with heart palpitations, and weak hair and nails. Iron is vital for synthesis of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Here are some beneficial juices that you can start with, to rebuild your red blood cells.

Beet Anemia

Beetroot is one of the foods that are rich in iron, and carrots make the iron absorption easier. Brewer’s yeast is added as an excellent ally for iron, great for relieving headaches and lowering blood sugar in diabetics.

Juice Recipe:

  • 4 medium-sized beetroots
  • 4 carrots
  • ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of brewer’s yeast*

Wash and cut the beetroots, carrots and lemon. Run them through your juicer.  Once they are juiced, add the brewer’s yeast. Mix and drink. Drink this before breakfast to give you an iron boost all day long. Lemon is an excellent addition in this juice to not only enhance the taste but to ensure better nutrients absorption.

Note *:  Brewer’s yeast is used to help your body’s natural iron absorption. Do not use brewer’s yeast if you’ve got candida infections or similar fungal diseases.

Spinach, Beetroot and Berry Juice

This juice has an incredible amount of iron. For best iron absorption, there should be presence of vitamin C and that is plentiful in this combo.

Juice Recipe:

  • 1 cup of of red berries
  • 3 small radishes
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1 beetroot
  • ½ lemon

Wash your ingredients well. Cut the beetroots and radishes into small pieces and feed all ingredients through the juicer.

Parsley Juice

The strong taste is telling as to how strong this juice will be against anemia.

Parsley is high in iron content, and when combined with lemon juice will be easily absorbed.

Drink this juice at least 30 minutes before meal.

Juice Recipe:

  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green apple or orange
  • ½ lemon

Wash your ingredients well and put them through your juicer. They are best extracted using a masticating juicer. If using a blender, add one cup of almond milk (or water) for ease of blending.

Now you can add any of these juices to your daily juice menu, and let the natural foods do their miracle work in rebuilding your blood.
