Say No To Roundup! Make This 2-Ingredient Natural Herbicide Instead For Your Garden

In the last several years, people have become more interested in organic produce and gardening, as they are aware of the potential health hazards caused by commercial products, such as the popular Roundup.

Yet, organic does not mean that the products are completely free of chemicals and pesticides.

Many organic farmers use various chemical sprays on their crops to keep the pesky insects and weeds away. These organic pesticides are derived from natural sources and sometimes lightly processed.

Organic farmers often use other tools, like insect traps and biological controls to protect their crops from insects. Organic farmers need to obey certain rules, like not applying pesticides with equipment that has been used to apply synthetic chemicals for the past three years.

The National Center for Food and Agricultural Policy maintains that the best two organic fungicides were copper and sulfur.

Numerous plants produce natural bactericides, fungicides, and insecticides, and many nontoxic household products effectively destroy gardening pests and weeds.

The USDA Recommendation: Insecticide

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon natural liquid dishwashing detergent
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1-quart tap water
  • Spray bottle

Directions

Mix the olive oil and the detergent in a spray bottle, shake well, and add the water. Spray this mixture at 10-day intervals to eliminate whiteflies, aphids, spider mites, and much more.

Liquid Detergent-Alcohol Spray

You will need:

  • 1 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 1 teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent
  • 1/4 water
  • Spray bottle

Directions

Mix the rubbing alcohol, detergent, and water in the spray bottle. Before you spray it around, test it on a couple of leaves to see if it irritates the plant.

Weed Killer

You will need:

  • A teaspoon of some liquid dishwashing detergent
  • White vinegar
  • A spray bottle

Fill the bottle with white vinegar and then add the liquid dishwashing detergent. Spray directly on the plants.

The best thing you can do for your own health, and the health of your family, in order to avoid the disastrous effects of pesticides, such as Roundup, is to start growing vegetables in your own garden, or always buy your produce from a local farmer.
