Yes, dear, I know you want to have a soft, smooth and luminous skin. Who doesn’t?
The skin becomes dull and saggy because collagen decreases in it as we get on in years. Since I, myself, have collagen deficiency, I want to share this great recipe with you, so you can boost your collagen production too.
Why is this juice special?
Well, the ingredients you use make it, so to say, “stand aloof” from other cosmetic skin beauty enhancers. Although you may be familiar with the nutritive aspects of the veggies needed, I still want to give you some tips about them.
1. Let me start with the red cabbage
Maybe you aren’t accustomed to red cabbage, but it is very high in vitamin C, just like oranges and limes are. It has powerful antioxidants, which protect the forefront skin cells from free radical damage. Trust me, your skin will be radiant and supple if it is well provided with these substances. And beautiful skin is so conspicuous, that it simply doesn’t go without notice!
Beetroot contains zinc and copper which are vital elements for a healthier skin. Beetroot also helps cleanse and restore the liver well-being, which is considered a primary detoxifying organ. What you should learn now is that skin and liver health are closely related!
It reduces inflammation and helps if you have any redness or puffiness on your facial skin. Recent lab testing has shown that ginger contains pharmacological properties of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
It has enormous hydrating effect since it contains 96% water. Nothing is more important for a soft and supple skin than water. I also find it strange that cucumbers haven’t received as much hype as other veggies in terms of overall health benefits.
This widely cultivated food provides us with a unique combination of nutrients. At the top of the phytonutrient list for cucumbers are cucurbitacins, lignans and flavonoids. These 3 types of phytonutrients present in cucumbers bring us valuable antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer benefits.
It provides us with antioxidant beta-carotene which is great for skin. One more thing about carrots: these delicious root vegetables are a source of a wide variety of antioxidants and other health-supporting nutrients as well.
Glowing skin juice recipe:

- 1 medium beetroot
- 1 carrot
- 1 medium cucumber
- 1 large orange
- 1/2 lime
- 2 inches of ginger
Wash the vegetables with warm running water. Use organically grown veggies if possible. Run all the ingredients, except citrus ones, though a juicer or blender. Squeeze the orange and lime using a citrus juicer or use your hands. Finally, combine the juicer contents and citrus juice in a small pitcher.
